To have your articles remain in your folder after you log out, you must first create a personal account. It is totally free. You did not mention which database you are using, but these links will help. If you are using Academic Search Complete, CINAHL, another EBSCO databases or the Search All, use the first link. If you are using Academic Onefile or Infotrac Onefile, use the second link.

Don't forget to logout when you are finished searching. When you return to the database, click Sign In and enter your personal information. Your folders will contain saved articles for 6 months. If you do not create a personal account, the articles only remain in the folder during your search session. I hope this solves your problem.
