Academic or scholarly journals are publications with articles written by specialists in the field. They often have research studies or in-depth analyses.  Library databases have magazine articles and scholarly journal articles. You can locate academic journals by using a database and limiting the results to academic journals.

Do a search in the database Academic Search Complete.  Enter your keywords and press search.  Next,  look on the left for source types, and click on Academic Journals.  All the results will be academic or scholarly journal articles.
