How do I check to see if the library has a copy of a article that I need from a magazine, scholarly journal or newspaper before I request it?

Answer

First, make sure to click on the library’s periodicals HOLDINGS link found under the “Find Materials” pull down menu on the library’s homepage.  Enter the title of the periodical (i.e. Newsweek) in which the article appears.  Check the results of this search to see if your article is available through NCC library either in print or in one of our subscription databases.  If no holdings are available for that particular title or if the specific date of the article needed does not fall within the date intervals shown for that periodical, then you must use the NCC Library's Illiad interlibrary loan system to request that article.  (please see the libanswer for how to request an article not owned by the library)
