We have several books of essays about Updike's short fiction on the third floor of the library around call number PS3571.P4 Z76.

To find good essays online  about the story, click on the databases link on the library homepage.  Select Literature Resource Center.  Do an advanced search with A & P as the name of the work and Updike as the author.

You will see tabs including lterary criticism and work overviews.  Both will have many essays on the story.

If you do not find enough there, you can also search the Humanities databases as well as JSTOR.
