If you are looking for financial ratios for a specific company, use the Business Insights: Essentials database.

  • Click on the database tab on the library homepage, click on "B" and then on Business Insights: Essentials.
  • Enter the name of your company or the ticker symbol of the company.
  • In the results list, locate your company and click on Financials.
  • Click on the Ratios tab to find all the ratios for your company.

If you are looking for financial ratios for an industry rather than a particular company, you will need to come to the Library Help Desk on the first floor of the Library.

  • Ask the librarian for the Business and Financial Ratios books.
  • Look up your industry by NAICS or code. If you do not know the code, find a company in that industry and use the code assigned to that company.

For both company and industry ratios, you may have to calculate some of the ratios.  The formulas are in the ratio books and in your textbook.

There is also a research guide for ECO/FIN 110 that may help. See link below.
