My Professor said that my Nursing textbook is available through one of the databases. What database should I use and how do I access it?

Answer

It is probably one of the textbooks in the STAT!Ref database- the link is below. You can also access it by going to the Library's homepage, select databases, then S for STAT!Ref. From off-campus, you will need to enter your N# and portal password.

Follow the steps below once you enter the database:

  • Accept the terms and Conditions
  • On the left side of the page, you'll see a long list of titles. Several of these are textbooks currently being used in NCC Nursing courses.
  • Click on the title of your textbook, for example: Kozier & Erb's Fundamentals of Nursing: Concepts, Process, and Practice - 10th Ed. (2016)
  • You'll see the list of chapters on the left. Select the chapter you need in order to view it.
