What is Interlibrary Loan (ILL)?

Answer

Interlibrary loan (typically abbreviated as ILL) is a library service by which library patrons can request items (books, articles, DVDs, CDs etc.) not owned by their library. Our library shares resources with other libraries, allowing access to more material in a variety of formats than can be found in a single library.  Any student, faculty or staff member currently affiliated with NCC can create their own borrowing account in the Library's interlibrary loan system, known as ILLiad, and then begin to request materials. The only type of material that our ILL office will not borrow is copies of current textbooks being used at NCC.
